Day 20: Share comfort

Day 20: Share comfort | World Vision Blog

“When one has nothing, God will open a door for them, is what they say. And He has opened it.” —Aishwarya, India. Today’s video tells her story; see what is giving her #joy!

Today’s challenge: Help out a sick friend (for example, bring them soup!) or help someone in need.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” —Galatians 6:2 (NIV)

Video: Aishwarya’s story

In 2007, Aishwarya learned that she had HIV. She wondered, “What might happen?”

Despite her illness, her husband leaving, and having two children to take care of, Aishwarya was able to move from uncertainty about her future to joy! See how World Vision helped:

World Vision has been responding to the global AIDS crisis for nearly 20 years. Our integrated approach to HIV and AIDS considers the global scope of the problem, down to the toll the disease takes on the most vulnerable children. World Vision’s interventions include prevention education, prevention of mother-to-child transmission, and caring for those infected with the disease or affected by it.

We also train and equip volunteer networks to care for those who are sick, and to look after children who are orphaned or vulnerable because of HIV and AIDS.

Make a one-time donation of $35 to provide $350 worth of medicines. Every day, thousands of children die because they do not have access to basic medicines that could save their lives. Your gift will multiply 10 times in impact to help ship and distribute essential pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.

Our family has served in SE Asia for 8 years. We have seen this type of poverty and understand too well the pain of the people. We continue to pray for those suffering and in need. May each of us, however God chooses to use us, be the hands & feet to bring the Good News to them. Thank you, World Vision, for all that you do!
